Built for the people who show up every day.
The Support Worker Diary was created for one reason: aged care and NDIS support workers in Australia have never had a professional tool built specifically for them.
Not a generic planner with their job title on the cover. Not a nurses' diary adapted from a hospital context. A diary built from scratch around the regulatory environment they work in, the shift patterns they work, the compliance obligations they now carry personally, and the tax deductions they deserve to claim.
That diary didn't exist. So we made it.
The Diary
The Support Worker Diary 2027 is a B5 hardcover professional diary for aged care and NDIS support workers across Australia. It includes:
Both Codes of Conduct – NDIS and Aged Care – printed verbatim from the source legislation. A credentials tracker for every certification you carry. A shift-aware weekly planner built for seven-day rosters across multiple providers. A monthly mileage log, work expenses ledger and annual tax summary. Supervision record pages – your copy, not your employer's. An incident and concern record. Quarterly professional reflections.
Everything in one place. Yours to keep regardless of where you work.
Why Now
The aged care and disability support sectors are undergoing the most significant regulatory reform in their history. The Aged Care Act 2024, new worker screening requirements, and the NDIS Code of Conduct have created a landscape where individual workers carry personal professional obligations that didn't exist five years ago.
Support workers are becoming individually accountable professionals – just like nurses, teachers and early childhood educators before them. And like those professions, they deserve professional tools to match.
The Support Worker Diary was designed for this moment.
Who Made It
The Support Worker Diary is produced by Butler Diaries, an Australian business based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
Since 2013, Butler Diaries has been designing professional diaries for Australian workers – starting with early childhood educators, expanding to family day care coordinators, and building the Construction Diary for tradespeople. Every diary in the range is built the same way: research the regulatory environment, talk to the people doing the work, and design a tool that actually fits their professional life.
The Support Worker Diary follows the same approach. We spoke with support workers and aged care workers across home care, community support and residential aged care settings. We read the legislation. We mapped the compliance obligations. And we built a diary that takes this workforce as seriously as the work they do.
Butler Diaries products are designed in Australia and produced to a professional print standard. The Support Worker Diary is the newest title in the range – and the most overdue.
A Family Business
Butler Diaries is run by Leona Butler, a designer and businesswoman with a background in branding, marketing and graphic design for professional organisations. Leona has worked alongside the early childhood, trades and now aged care and disability sectors for over a decade – learning each industry's compliance requirements, understanding what workers actually need, and designing tools that respect their professionalism.
Every diary in the Butler Diaries range is reviewed each year against updated regulations and worker feedback. The Support Worker Diary will be no different.
For Providers and Teams
The Support Worker Diary is available for individual purchase and for bulk orders. Aged care providers, NDIS registered organisations and home care businesses can order in volume for worker onboarding, staff recognition programs or Aged Care Employee Day.
If you're ordering for a team, contact us at info@supportworkerdiary.com.au to discuss volume pricing and delivery.
